France - New Zealand U20: "I remember the missed opportunities," regrets the Bleuets coach

The Bleuets, beaten this Monday by the Baby Blacks (34-26) in the semi-final, will not play a fifth consecutive final at the U20 World Cup.
"We lack precision in the final move. Chasing the score all game long leads to impatience, which leads to frustration and ends in haste. We mismanaged several opportunities. They were pragmatic. I remember the missed opportunities. We had multiple chances to get ahead, to score, and we lack precision in the final move. It was our mistakes that cost us the match," lamented Bleuets coach Cédric Laborde.
In their first final since winning the title in 2017, the New Zealanders will face South Africa on Saturday (8:30 p.m.), who crushed Argentina (48-24) in the other semi-final. The French team will face the Pumitas for third place (Saturday at 6 p.m.).
